Safe Unlock is a research project led by Keyfree AS. The pilot program is underway from autumn 2022, with a focus on condominiums and housing associations. Registered pilot participants are then part of the pilot for 12 months. The project itself will end on June 30th 2024. At this point, all pilot participants will be transferred to permanent service. Those participants who do not wish this, will be able to end their participation at this time.
Safe Unlock is the solution that allows consumers to receive goods and services behind digital lock. This means that the customer does not have to be at home when the item is delivered, but can control access to the home or goods box from an app on the phone. Lock Up offers full security throughout the delivery.
The service is a 3-year research project that will develop and evaluate a digital ecosystem for the delivery of goods and services. The ecosystem will promote simple, efficient and secure delivery logistics for private homes. As a pilot participant in this project, you will help shape the home delivery of the future!
You can register through our registration form here. There, you choose the form that suits you best and enter your data so that we can best adapt our solution to you and your needs. After a short time, you will receive a text message confirming your registration, with the option to view and change the information you have entered. The pilot starts with housing cooperatives and condominiums, but you can still register your apartment, detached house or townhouse now. To participate in the Safe Unlock project, pilot participants must purchase a Gateway from Safe4 Security Group, a digital lock from Nimly or a home delivery box, and download the Keyfree app. You can order everything in Komplett's webshop.
During the pilot, we will send you tips and advice on how to use the Safe Unlock system as best as possible. In addition, you will receive analyzes during the project, as well as user examples obtained from other pilot participants. Along the way, quizzes with prizes will also be held. On our social media accounts on Facebook, LikedIn and Instagram you can follow the activities and experiences of other participants. All pilot participants in Safe Unlock automatically receive a subscription to Keyfree.
Towards the end of the pilot, you will receive research results and articles about the project and related areas. Towards the end of the pilot, you will be able to choose to either continue as a regular customer at Keyfree with your conditions, or terminate the subscription. By registering as a subscriber, you get the opportunity to expand with other services such as fire alarm, alarm, home health services and connection to a manned alarm centre. At Komplett og Keyfree you will find a range of equipment for tasks in the home, for example devices that detect water leaks, open the garage door, control the lighting or help you save electricity.
As a participant in the Safe Unlock Pilot, you contribute to sustainable social development via efficient transport and reduction in emissions. You also contribute to a safer and more pleasant local environment.
You no longer need to be at home while delivering goods. Thus you can use
your time on other important things. Suppliers will find home delivery safe, easy and less stressful.
The delivery of goods and services takes place under your control. You decide where, when and how. Everything is registered and data is taken care of by companies with the necessary licenses for handling personal data.
The Trust Center is our base for secure ID verification, a bit like BankID. It is the very hub of the ecosystem and verifies that all players in the digital ecosystem are authentically unique. It ensures the right person at the right time, with the right intentions.
With the Keyfree app, you give easy access to couriers and service personnel through both the door lock and delivery box with a digital code. Our Trust Center prevents theft and helps you and your insurance company in a claim or theft case.
SINTEF : They are responsible for the research part of the project. SINTEF's role in the project is to evaluate and verify the concept. They examine public acceptance and willingness to pay, potential for service development and effects on travel habits and transport work. In addition, it studies what effects new delivery options can have on transport work and the environment, as a result of changed travel habits and transport patterns among customers and in the transport industry.
Safe4 Security Group : Is responsible for the technical development of the digital ecosystem that controls Safe Unlock. It is Safe4 that develops the Safe Unlock platform, where the focus is on ensuring interaction in the value chain. It is their technology that makes it possible to open and close doors to ensure safe and secure home delivery of goods and services, mainly through their developed HomeGate AiO. Safe4 is also responsible for ensuring that the pilot you participate in is carried out in the best possible way.
The Research Council : The Safe Unlock project is financed through own efforts and equipment from the project partners. In addition, during the project period, the project receives a total of NOK 11 million in support from the Research Council through the Pilot-T scheme. The total budget for the project is NOK 30 million.
Keyfree : Offers cost-effective and user-friendly access management, as well as keyless access to doors and communal doors, through their app, “Keyfree”. Keyfree is also working towards linking the system to third parties, such as house cleaning assistance, home delivery of packages and other home delivery services using digital keys. This must be done in a simple and safe way. All devices included in the Safe Unlock project are therefore controlled through the Keyfree app.
PostNord : Thefirst forwarder in the project.In many online stores you can choose PostNord as a transport option.Then you can choose between 5 options; 1) Delivery inside the main door of a private house, block, housing association or condominium, 2) delivery on the doormat outside the main door, 3) delivery in a home delivery box or stand from Stansefabrikken Home and PostLogi, 4) delivery in a common home delivery room, if this has been established in your condominium or housing association, and 5) delivery in a garage with a digital lock. In the Safe Unlock project, PostNord uses its own forwarder app that communicates with the Keyfree platform.
Stansefabrikken Home : Delivers solutions for home delivery in the form of mailboxes and racks with digital locks. In the online store's "checkout", where you choose a forwarder, you get many delivery options. Choose "Box" (home delivery box) if you have access to one with a digital lock. These are controlled by the Keyfree app.
PostLogi : Delivers digital locks for Stansefabrikken Home's solutions and also offers its own delivery box products. Their electronic locks are a standard part of Stansefabrikken Home's range of intelligent private and residential mailboxes. PostLogi therefore offers unique solutions for safe deliveriesof packages and fresh food. Their locks and delivery boxes are also controlled by the Keyfree app.
Nimly : Is an innovative company that develops solutions for those who want an easier way to lock and unlock doors for a safer home. They have produced electronic locks in Scandinavia since 2009, and are today leaders in biometric and electronic locking and security systems. In the Safe Unlock project, smart door locks from Nimly (formerly EasyAccess) will be used to ensure safe and easy delivery of goods inside main doors.
Komplett: Komplett.no will be the first website to offer home delivery of packages inside the front door of private houses, condominiums or housing associations. From autumn 2022, Komplett's webshop will be opened for digital home delivery. After choosing PostNord as a supplier, you will be presented with the various delivery options included in the Safe Unlock project.
Parqio : Contributes to good urban environments through a new garage system for residents, condominium owners and housing developers. They offer a complete system for private communal garages and work with all electric gates. That way, you can open the gate at home with a digital key.
Signicat : Delivers digital identity solutions for the entire customer journey, fromcompliant onboarding to secure login and electronic signing. They thus ensure digital identity in one place. Signicat must deliver eID verification for use in Safe Unlock's Trust Center.
